Lynx seems to provide pop up windows well enough
for certain form input types. 

Perhaps that particular code could be re-used for a javascript
window whose content would be based upon the interpretation of
the script.   I know of several sites who hide links behind a 
javascript when these links would be perfectly accessible if
encoded with HTML. If the lynx/javascript did nothing other
than to provide access to hidden links, it would already be an
invaluable aid.
