And I don't, but many people do, and I was talking about how it should
be handled for those pages where this inappropriate use of tables is
found, where I have no control over it.

Yes, but it's only lynx, of all of the browsers I've tried, that does
this within each cell, rather than just for the table as a whole, when
the center attribute is contained in the table tag itself.
