I think there is a simple first-step solution to all this
tagsoup/sortasgml mess. Time to time I see
"Wrong HTML! See trace file for additional information"
shown for several seconds. But this does not happen with
tagsoup/sortasgml mess. So I think the following changes will make
the situation a tiny bit more tolerable:
a) Whenever a situation dealt differently by these two recovery
algorithms is detected, a message
Wrong HTML! Switching between tagsoup/sortasgml DTD may help
should be shown. This message should not be shown more than once
per document. (Better be customizable.)
b) I think the algorithm better matching the major browsers error
recovery should be chosen the default one. It looks like for the
errors I discuss now this is not so...
