Other operating systems keep lynx sources for example in a
CVS tree, which discards (by default) the executable bit on
files anyway. So the correct fix is to prefix invocations
of any scripts with ${SHELL} in all places.

Even the FSF (autotools) has realised it and started to
patch e.g. libtool.
