[Lynx-dev] Lynx insists on filename in file/attachment field when using gmail |

I'm using Lynx 2.8.4rel.1 to access gmail. It works great, but if I
try to send an email without an attachment, it tells me:
Alert!: Can't open file for uploading
and won't let me post the mail. Attaching /dev/null works, but is kludgy.
In other words, it forces me to attach a file even if I don't want
to. I'm guessing this happens on all forms with 'file' input types,
but haven't tested.
Would upgrading help?
Ironically, Lynx warns me "[FILE Input] (Not yet implemented.)", even
though I *can* attach a file (the file gets MIME-encoded, even if it's
plain text).
Just for fun, I've attached a one-line text file to this message
instead of attaching /dev/null.
