That worked fine for me.
I noticed, in the environment I run lynx in, it seemed to
work lopping off the '&zy=h' and just using

https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=html

Anyway, easy enough for me to in the my start / portal page,
but it probably shouldn't be needed in a perfect world.
