This patch renames checks/42.index to checks/42.index_macro, so a fresh CVS 
checkout followed by make shows
? checks/42.index_macro
cvs update: warning: checks/42.index was lost
U checks/42.index

Please rename the file in CVS to match; otherwise, you might have a packaging 
problem in `make dist' for 1.4.4.
