Hi,

I don't have any new features planned. I assume the variable scopes
idea has been put on hold.

Lately I have been observing 3.82 occasionally not detecting out-of-
dateness properly in my build tree. I haven't had a chance to look
into it yet, so I am not sure if it's a GNU make problem, my build
system problem, or my OS/hardware problem. Does this ring a bell
WRT some known GNU make bugs?

I am going to try to switch to CVS make for my every day development.
