Details:
Hi,
I come from Flanders, the official language I speak is Belgian Dutch (nl-BE),
although we like to call it Flemish.
There are a few differences between the languages nl-BE and nl-NL. One of the
major differences is alphabetically sorting.
In nl-NL, they search for the major word, and sort on that. Like if some
street is called "De Wittelaan", it is sorted under the letter "W". But in
nl-BE, we sort letter by letter, ignoring special signs. So "De Wittelaan" is
sorted under the letter "D".
Ignoring special signs means that "Den Bossche" comes before "De Wittelaan",
which comes before "D'ezelstraat". As you have the orders DEN->DEW->DEZ.
Currently, OSMatic only implements the nl-NL way of sorting. I wonder if it
would be possible to implement the nl-BE way of sorting too.
And as a second question, is there somewhere I can contribute to translate the
copyright notice and the categories such as "Place of worship" or "Education"
to Dutch?
