Did you check the requirements?

Note that there are open issues with building NSIS on 64-bit
platforms, but Debian systems such as Ubuntu shouldn't make
any trouble here.

BTW, it would be great if you could provide a documentation
improvement (i.e. a patch for doc/index.html) in case you
need different commands to install the required packages on
Ubuntu.
