Subject: [MIT-Scheme-devel] Building from scratch fails due to lack of
bandfile

Hi,
I tried to build Scheme (both ver 7.7.1 and 7.7.90) on Linux RedHat 9 using
only mit-scheme-7.7.x.tar.gz [due to slow modem connection I could not
afford to download the binanry...] but the build process stops when
microcode/utabmd.sh is executed. The problem seems the lack of a band file.

Is there a way to produce a band without having a previous version
available?

Thanks in advans for any helps
Bye
