It seems that the bug came from CR/LF problems. The patch
on the WEB page has been updated, so that you need to
repatch ocaml and try to compile again...

The core still doesn't compile properly under Cygwin, it
continues to return the truncated object error when trying
to make client.cmx. However, I tried making client.cmx
under linux (using the same .lam file) and it worked just
fine.
I'm going to take a closer look at the ocaml build;
something just isn't building properly. Ocaml does fail to
bootstrap but it appeared to be minor, I shall look at it
some more. Suggestions welcome.
