mldonkey can stress your computer a lot, in particular, it needs a lot of 
memory. Beta8+4 also suffered from a bug in the poll function, that increases 
CPU usage a lot. Check beta8+5...

Summary:  machine hangsup

Original Submission:  The hole systems hangsup without any message. The screen 
freezes. Sometimes whole downlaods are killed.

Same Problem here:
SUSE 8.1 with 2.4.19
But only under stress (full downloadrate)
