Hi Janus,

I am runnung FreeBSD 4.3, Proftpd and mldonkey 2.0+2 and I am not lossing
that much throughput. Without mldonkey running I get about 7-8MB (Mbyte,
not Mbit) per seccond and with mldonkey running I get about 6-7MB/s, but
this is because the packages that mldonkey sends an receive go through the
same line/interface as my FTP-Connection and I think it's just that the
packages disturb each other (I think, I don't know, there is a difference
;)). I think your Porblem is NOT directly mldonkey related, maybe you just
have too few RAM or CPU-speed available so your machine (as you said it
does with mc) cannot hande everything at once... Or maybe mine is just a
bit different from the normal behavior.

So long...
Claas
