Hi All,

I'm new here.  For starters and for those that are interested.   Monit looks like a really great product.  I don't actually have it running yet.  But I have it built, installed and somewhat configured, and it looks like it has great potential.  I just think its great to see a product that is more interest in keeping the system running than just sending out alters and displaying the status on a web page.

If things work out I plan on donating to the project.  Possibly even code.

Now for my first question.  The following line in the manual seems to imply that what I want is possible.

Monit can examine how much system resources a service or the system is using.

What I am after is to monitor total cpu usage for all processes and free system memory left.  I saw reference to this in the mail archives as not possible yet but it was not a real new mail.  Can one do this?

Thanks,

Chris
