In the case you forgot, you can either unmonitor&&monitor the given service after the upgrade or reload monit (send HUP)

Hi Martin,

So in cases where you have upgraded and forgot to unmonitor the
service, you will have to HUP monit to get it to accept a new
checksum?

Thanks,

Hi,

you should disable monitoring before upgrade (unmonitor) and enable
after upgrade (monitor). If you are using static checksum in monit
control file, you will need to fix it and reload monit configuration
(either "monit reload" or send HUP to monit).
