With the recent upload, tests for monotone pass even on ppc64el.
Looks like there's a full 1 MiB pipe buffer configured on certain buildd
machines. So it took 16 commits with 64 KiB commit logs each to actually
fill the pipe buffer and make 'mtn log' wait for the SIGPIPE we intend
to test for (rather than terminate with exit code 0).
