Thanks Patrick, I've fetched it, but it looks like the Solaris machines have fairly out-of-date automake and autoconf, and it's time to sleep, so off to bed... I'll try this tomorrow.

it's missing INADDR_NONE for which I added a configure test, but that
was
post-0.8 - some other solaris build problems in monotone were fixed,
too..

I've built a recent snapshot that you can get at
