OK, many thanks... unfortunately I cannot pull anything of your depot,
or Nathaniel Smith's.  I get 205 errors.  This is with a locally built
monotone 0.10 on Mandrake 9.2 (glibc-2.3.2-14mdk).  Also, using 
wget -O - '...?q=since&major=0&minor=0' just gives a 404 error.  
ping and dig work fine.
