Hello,
I recently heard about Monotone and was curious to find out how well it
worked. Unfortunately I was unable to build the source or use the binary
version due to me using Boost 1.31 which have a number of API changes
compared to previous versions. To make a long and gruesome Boost coding
story short, I made a patch that made it work.
So, the attached bzip2-ed patch allows monotone to build with Boost 1.31
and gcc 3.3.3. I was unable to find any info on the preferred way to
submit patches so I hope this is ok. The patch is against a recently
fetched version from www.off.net.
Please note that no care has been taken to preserve compatibility with
earlier Boost versions. I began work on getting them to play nicely
together but after a while decided it was probably a better idea to
preserve my sanity.
Oh, by the way, when I do "monotone --branch=net.venge.monotone heads" I
get a couple of complaints: "monotone: warning: bad signature by
'address@hidden'".
Anyway, it's a nice program and I'll certainly play around with it some
more.
