I started out with one rev on the main branch, then created the
r5-features branch by editing and committing with "--branch=...", then
committed another rev on the r5-features branch.

Let me know if I should supply any more details.


I had the same problem. But upon commiting another revision of the original branch, the propagate worked fine. I'll report if it happens again.
