I was hitting the same invariant propagating 
net.venge.monotone -> net.venge.monotone.botan, the problem
should be fixed in revision
627ea580a72fa20c88b893f1031c138567aed14c.

Could you try that revision (or later) and see if it
improves things?  (Or if the database is available I can
take a look for you)
