Putting spaces or other punctuation in the hash might help.
Say, after every eight characters?  Or as the crypto people used
to do, after every five?  Or an irregular pattern, to keep you eyes
from getting lost, like

  xxxxxxxx xxxxx xxxxxx xx-xx xxxxxxxxxx xx-xx xx
