Nope.  It appears something changed.  I got the following now:

  Lang            Translated Fuzzies  Untranslated
  fr.po           563        113      50
  ja.po           389        264      73
  pt_BR.po        707                 21
  sv.po           728
  it.po           665         10      51
  de.po           728
  es.po           726

Those are resuls I get from doing the following:

    (cd po; make monotone.pot-update && make)

Apparently, the numbers can be a little inexact.  I'm most intrigued
with es.po only having 726 translated strings and that being ok...
But the big picture is still that some languages keep up a lot better
than others.
