[Monotone-devel] RPM build broken in Fedora

Hello,

I was trying to build a RPM for Fedora 8 ppc and it failed because the package did not register info/dir, which was created as part of the install process. I don't know if it is a specific Fedora thing, because I see some binary RPM packages posted for openSUSE in the website (hence why I did not commit a fix).

In the spec's history there is:
* Thu Jan 8 2004 graydon hoare <address@hidden>
- don't install /usr/share/info/dir

But that change was actually reverted in some future revision. Is it there any specific reason? Does SuSE require the presence of the info/dir file during the construction of the RPM? Is it there any harm in removing it?

Summarizing, is the attached patch OK?

And at last, are you interested in RPM binary packages for ppc? Who should I send them to? It's annoying to have to rebuild monotone on a PS3 ;-)

Thanks,

Attachment: patch.diff
Description: Binary data
