I haven't posted here in ages, and it doesn't really matter given my minimal contributions recently, but I feel a personal connection to this project and the people who've helped over the years, so I figured I ought to post a quick, formal note about ending my work on it.

Since the summit last year I've been trying to revive my interest in the project, but the competition from git and hg seems too good, and my own interests keep straying. The most recent branch I've been working on, while promising, isn't likely to make a serious difference, and I want to stop putting off new projects on this vague sense that I have more monotone hacking to do.

I'll continue administering any infrastructure still in my hands (bug tracker, wiki, domain name, mailing list) but will also happily relinquish these to anyone else who wants them. Contact me off list.

I'll probably remain on #monotone IRC since it's always been a nice source of conversation, but otherwise I think I'm done.
