With the help of Tim which pinpointed me to a possible workspace root
problem for the functional tests, I've fixed all the remaining issues
for openBSD. With respect to the date formatting placeholders, GNU's %F
has been replaced with %Y-%m-%d everywhere and the unit tests also do
not take %z, another GNU extension unavailable on openBSD, into account.
