Follow-up Comment #3:
Version 0.99 will introduce an lca selector function, so to follow your
example, the following would do what you want (if you are in the private
workspace):
$ mtn di -r "lca(h:upstream;h:)" -r "h:upstream"
so I'm marking this feature request as fixed.
