Hi,

I got conflicts on updating utils.c and search.c.  utils.c was just the
version control line, no idea why.  search.c needed a bit of manual help.

But I'm seeing something funny with TAB chars, the first one encounted in
a file is not expanded to spaces on the display, and then if the file is
written out (forced by doing some other change) the unexpanded TAB is
deleted.
