After some new discussion with the Debian Pine maintainer, we have
decided that the next nano upload will provide a /usr/bin/pico and will
conflict with the real Pico package. A typical user who tries to
apt-get install pico will magically get nano installed by default.
Actually, most typical users will have nano installed already, so when
they try to execute pico, they'll get nano and they will be happy.
I am also considering switching multibuffers off by default in
/etc/nanorc, as it appears to confuse newbies (they expect that ^R
inserts text, etc.).
Do we have progress on the FreeBSD backspace stuff, btw?
