Hi,
The current synopsises in the man page and info document are thus:
nano [+LINE,COLUMN] [options] [file]
`nano' +LINE,COLUMN [GNU long option] [option] [ FILE ... ]
But some experimentation shows that the COLUMN part is optional, and
that every filename may be preceded with a line-column pair. Also,
mentioning long options separately gives the impression that these
should come first, which isn't the case. So a more accurate
synopsis would be:
nano [OPTION]... [[+LINE[,COLUMN]] FILE]...
The first patch makes this change; in the info document in a more
elaborate way, for clarity.
The second patch corrects a few typos, changes the wording here and
there, and synchronizes some descriptions in the info document with
the man page.
Regards,
Benno
