Urja, would you also be content if nano just hard-bound Alt+Left to prevbuf
and Alt+Right to nextbuf? As in the attached patch?

Yes personally I'm okay with this too,

Okay. Pushed to master. The bindings will appear in 2.8.7.

Anyways having them do something by default sounds good, this way more people
will (likely even "accidentally" as in by trying out keys) learn of this new
feature.

Yes, if their terminal (emulator) doesn't catch them and use them for
something else.

Then, in a follow-up patch I would propose to hard-bind Alt+Up to findprevious and Alt+Down to findnext. I think it's nicer to have these
keys do something useful by default instead of leaving it to the user to
bind them first.

Okay with those bindings too,

Pushed too.

PS. This is an aside, but I'm very happy to be able to unbind all keys from
justify and spell, so I'm a little bit afraid to force new keybindings on
people, but OTOH these seem less harmful than those if pressed accidentally,
and also a bit less likely to be pressed totally accidentally.

:)

I used to unbind ^Y, because too often I would hit ^Y when I meant ^U,
and then I would stare at the screen and wonder what happened.

So yes, being able to unbind is good.

Benno
