What need is there to maintain it?  You modify one nano once,
and you use that binary for years.

No, I don't like it, won't happen.

Will not be accepted, as said before.

The reason I gave is: it's ugly.  To be more specific: it adds two
options, very similar, where the average user will think: WTF?  And,
if you really think you would be the only user of the feature, why
would you want to burden everyone else's nano with the extra option
and code?

Judging from your ~/.nanorc, you want an editor that is very different
from nano.  Maybe there is one out there that better suits your demands.


Anyway, thanks for the patch.  Pushed to master, commit 85866344.
