Partially off-topic, partially not, and no offense intended...

This reminds me of the minor debate whether nano should be capitalized
or not in its own messages.  You've said the few inconsistencies are too
minor to fix, but the inconsistencies could very well multiply if new
messages are based on the wrong ones.  (And, for the record, I may
personally prefer the lowercase version, I don't actually care enough to
object if it's capitalized instead.)

Either way, the inconsistencies should be fixed eventually, if only
because it's a matter of polish; one nit not worth fixing will turn into
two, which will turn into three, and you'll end up with a bunch of nits,
which, taken together, make the project look as though no one cares
enough to fix the small issues, which doesn't bode well.  (It may not
actually be the case that no one cares enough to fix it, but appearances
are important in cases like this.)
