Details:
I have an aging distribution on my PC and can't upgrade to get the font
libraries needed for the GL backend without upgrades X, something I'd rather
avoid. As I'm using the gnuplot backend this hasn't bothered me. However for a
while I've been getting the messages
warning: ft_render: unable to load appropriate font
even though I'm using the gnuplot backend. This seems inappropriate to me.
Could these messages be suppressed when using the gnuplot backend?
D.
