Follow-up Comment #2, bug #31924 (project octave):
What is the effect of your patch? Do I understand correctly that it inserts
the drive letter and a colon at the front of the filename?
Is it appropriate to always do this for all calls to delete, or is it
something that should be fixed in the function that is calling delete? And
exactly which function is that in the case that fails for you?
