Follow-up Comment #2, bug #31760 (project octave):

Its not clear to me what is the correct behavior in this case. We could use
the gnuplot command "set logscale cb" to get the plot colored but I suspect
that isn't correct either. Frankly it's not clear to me that the colors
already plotted by gnuplot aren't correct for this case. So what does matlab
do it this case? Could someone upload a screenshot?
