Follow-up Comment #4, bug #33231 (project octave):

Thanks for pointing out that I don't have to recompile. The .m file is in my
~/share/octave/m/plot directory. This doesn't need compiling of course...!

I have changed 'obj' into 'hlgnd' near line 1472 and that indeed resolved the
problem. Thanks again!

The extract was not fresh, but I thought I should work anyway.

The recompile was never necessary, so this is a side-track: I thought any
repetitions of 'make' should either recompile (if needed for the new
__go_draw_axes__.m) , or do nothing. It compiled the first time, but now it
stumbles of this non-existing directory. If I solve this (stupidity?) I will
report on it.
