Follow-up Comment #14, bug #34148 (project octave):

A simple example ...

x = 0:0.1:10;
[ax, h1, h2] = plotyy (x, sin(x), x, cos(x));
ylabel ylabel2
axes (ax(1));
ylabel ylabel1
xlabel xlabel
print -dpdfwrite plotyy.pdf

I've attached the resulting pdf (plotyy.pdf).

You asked if the ylabel supposed to stay on the same side if the plotyy call
is repeated. If plotyy is repeated all axis label should be erased. Which is
what happens when I repeat the plotyy command.
