Follow-up Comment #1:

convhulln has been recoded to allow for the return of non-simplicial facets
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/7ff0bdc3dc4c).  To access the
change you will need to build from development sources or wait for the 3.6
release scheduled for December 2011.
