Details:

Using the command 'diary on' causes the interpreter to hang requiring 3
Ctrl-C's to eventually stop it.  If I run the same command under gdb then
Octave segfaults with the following message.


Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
octave_pager_stream::instance_ok () at pager.cc:372
372       bool retval = true;
