Follow-up Comment #3, bug #35159 (project octave):
I have tested on octave-3.4.3 and control-2.2.3 on Ubuntu 11.10 (32 bit)
octave:1> graphics_toolkit fltk
octave:2> s=tf("s")
Transfer function 's' from input 'u1' to output ...

Continuous-time model.
octave:3> bode(s)

Aborted
Plot itself was in failure.
On gnuplot graphics_toolkit, no problem occured.
