I would not expect the bug has been fixed. 

This is an intermittent bug that has appeared only on Windows computers. The
cause is an issue in makeinfo.exe, which seems to have a number of issues. So
far as I know, no change has been applied to Octave to work around or fix this
bug. 

In my Windows Octave 3.4.3 installation, makeinfo --version reports 4.13,
copyright 2008. I expect Octave 3.6.0 uses the same makeinfo version. 


I am hosting Ubuntu on my computer with VMware. I installed the the Linux
version of Octave 3.4.3.  The problem does not appear.
