URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?37532> Summary: wavread fails on certain input files, hangs the system Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: mtmiller Submitted on: Wed 10 Oct 2012 08:45:18 AM EDT Category: Libraries Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Crash Status: In Progress Assigned to: mtmiller Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: dev Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: Given certain input WAVE files, the wavread function apparently attempts to allocate way too much memory and causes my system to become unresponsive. The files in question can be opened and played with other programs, so they are valid to some extent. Files originating from Octave's wavwrite do not exhibit this problem. I'll investigate the details of the files I have that cause this crash. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?37532> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
