Details:
Just getting 3.8.0 installed on Fedora 20 and while testing a few of my
scripts I noticed a regression in parsing char/cell arrays made with line
continuations and inline comments. A couple simple examples:
octave:1> a=['a' ... % hi
> 'b'];
parse error:
syntax error
>>> 'b'];
^
octave:1> a={'a' ... % hi
> 'b'};
parse error:
syntax error
>>> 'b'};
^
Under 3.6.4 these commands parse without error or issue. As an aside, inline
comments in numeric arrays appear to work as expected in 3.8.0:
octave:1> a=[1 ... % hi
> 2];
octave:2> a
a =
1 2
octave:3>
