Details:

I've been attempting to run a program with the shortcut key 'F5'.  however, it
does not seem to run the program.  it looks like the file is saved, but my
variables do not populate and it looks like the program stalls.  

so far i've been able to compensate by selecting all and using the 'F9'
shortcut to run the program and get my simulation to work.
