I cannot reproduce on Windows 10 here.
Did you install with the official installer or did you use the zip? How did
you start the GUI?
It might be an issue with the Windows locale (mine is German) or installed
fonts. The empty boxes might be the replacement character of your font.
Which locale are you on? Can you check in "Edit" -> "Preferences..." on the
"Terminal" tab which font is used? It is "Courier New" for me.

Also, for the future: please upload your screenshots as images instead of as
doc file.
