Follow-up Comment #3:
The effect you are seeing when using Ctrl-Tab seems to be related to bug
#45610: Obviously, using a shortcut with modifier on selected text in files
with CRLF line ending expands the selection by one line.
Marking this bug as duplicate of bug #45610 and extending the info for the old
bug report.
