Follow-up Comment #22, bug #51388 (project octave): The original m code snippet in comment #2 was using strcmpi, and was reported to be failing as well. Now I have to wonder if the original loop was failing because cd was given a path that had one type of slash, but pwd reports the working directory with a different kind of slash.
