Follow-up Comment #81, bug #48474 (project octave):

I've compiled and tested Octave 4.2.1 with the patch from comment #80
(mxe-octave with stable-octave) on an older laptop with Win7. After doing only
a "graphics_toolkit gnuplot", I've observed the following:

* The figure windows do look different. This seems to be the proper qt display
of gnuplot.
* The content of the figure windows looks fine. 2D plots as well as 3D plots.
* Two of the GUI buttons do not do anything, the one with the "+" sign and the
one with the "-" sign. Instead I only hear a beep sound when clicking them.
* Sometimes it takes very long for the figure content to appear on screen.
(Not only for the first figure window to open.)
* Sometimes the figure content does NOT appear at all, it only becomes visible
after hitting the figure button with the "1" on it (it seems to mean: reset
figure settings)
* During the waiting time for the figure content to appear (sometimes longer
than I could wait), I have seen different error messages on the Octave console
sometimes:
** Could not connect to existing gnuplot_qt. Starting a new one.
** line 0: undefined variable: lmargin [newline] multiplot > n; [newline] line
0: invalid command
** line 0: undefined variable: sizein [newline] multiplot > noratio 1,1;
[newline] line 0: invalid command

This doesn't appear to me as if the qt terminal of gnuplot was runnign very
stable at the moment. But I am also not 100% sure if I did everything right
during the generation of my mxe-octave zip-file.
